The following additional excesses only apply under certain circumstances:
Applies if a driver under 25 years of age was driving, using or in charge of your car at the time of the incident. No other excess applies.
Applies if an inexperienced driver was driving, using or in charge of your car at the time of the incident. Note: an inexperienced driver is someone 25 years of age or over, who has less than two years driving experience.
An excess is the amount you pay when you make a claim – you pay a contribution towards the claim and your insurer pays the rest of the costs.
You pay a lower premium by increasing the total excess on your policy and vice versa.
Sometimes you have to pay more than one type of excess.
The agreed value is the most we will pay for loss or damage to your car, minus any excess or deductions that may apply.
The agreed value also includes the value of any accessories and modifications.
Depending on your total premium and the number of payments in your policy term, your instalment payments may be different from what's quoted. Once your policy is set up, we'll send you an instalment schedule outlining all payment dates and amounts.
Have you considered Comprehensive Car Insurance? By changing, you'll also get cover for accidental damage to your car, up to the agreed value. If you don't change, there's no cover if your car is accidentally damaged by you or someone else.
Have you considered Comprehensive Car Insurance? By switching, you'll also get cover for accidental damage to your car, up to the agreed value. If you don't switch, there's no cover if your car is accidentally damaged by you or someone else.
You may need to pay a deposit when you pick up the rental, and you'll be responsible for fuel and any extras – check the policy document for more info. We also can't provide a rental if you're on a learner's licence, if you don't meet the minimum age criteria for the rental car provider, or if there are no rental cars available in your location.
